Dear Parents and Guardians,

Every year, the Ridgewood Federated HSA presents one annual fundraiser to benefit all of our public schools -- the Harlem Wizards vs Ridgewood A+ Team basketball game.  Federated HSA is a cooperative board that includes current HSA presidents, plus five former HSA presidents who serve as officers.

The world-famous, professional Harlem Wizards provide an entertaining evening of trick shots and sky-high dunks while playing our own A+ team of Ridgewood teachers and staff.  The game raises funds for our district and offers a great community-building experience.

Federated HSA is extremely pleased to announce that due to the overwhelming popularity of this event, we will present two games in 2020!

The two games will be held Thursday, January 23 and Friday, January 24 at 7 PM at Ridgewood High School.  There will be staff from each of the schools playing on both nights.

The cost will be $20 per ticket, plus tax and processing fees.  Souvenirs and concessions will be sold, with proceeds donated to programs that support the Ridgewood Public Schools community.

Ticket sales will begin on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 8 PM via the Harlem Wizards website.  Information and instructions will be sent via district eblast and your school's enews.

We are very fortunate that the Wizards game is one of Ridgewood's most successful fundraisers.  In past years, we have experienced much higher demand than the maximum capacity allowed.  In the initial ticket sale, tickets will be limited to four (4) per family to ensure as many Ridgewood families as possible have the opportunity to attend the event.

Some parents have expressed concern that their children are upset when they cannot attend an event that has always been highly promoted at schools, so we will scale back our event promotion and send announcements only to parents/guardians.

We appreciate your support and your feedback as we strive to make this a positive event for our district.  We are hopeful that having two separate games this year will allow many more families to experience and enjoy this spectacular event!  If you have any questions, please feel free to reach us at

Thank you for your ongoing support of our schools!
